I got keys to my new office last week. This week has been about trying to coordinate moving some furniture into that space so that my clients and I have some place to sit! I do love the space! It’s in a great building in downtown San Francisco. It has built-in storage for books and office supplies. And lots of empty wall space to hang pictures. When I get all done, it will be amazing, but right now, it’s a great space with a lot of potential.
Potential is one of those words that is both exciting and intimidating. It’s exciting because it conjures up visions of new and wonderful opportunities, experiences, and outcomes. It is intimidating because it can also conjure up visions of falling short, not living up to, and failing to realize those same possibilities. It just depends on how you want to look at it!
Right now, I am looking at my new office with excitement and expectancy and enthusiasm. I could choose to worry about whether or not I can grow the business quickly enough to cover the lease cost, but it’s much more fun to imagine the positive aspects of this new stage of my business. And it is working better. I scheduled three more appointments today! Hurray for the power of positive thinking! Enjoy!
